I would like some help and guidance…
I’m using two RTXA4000 and a quadrosync II to create a mosaic +1.
Since there are 4 DP ports on every RTXA4000:
On detail I will use for the mosaic +1, 3 DP on the first GPU and 2 on the second GPU, total 5 DP 14000x2100 (mosaic) +1 1 DP 1920x1080.
For the +1 monitor do I need a third RTXA4000 or any other quadro GPU??
I will use configuremosaic.exe to implement this.
Hi Panagiotis,
the Mosaic +1 (control monitor) is a bit tricky… if you ran a 2 or 3 screen Mosaic, so only needed a single GPU, you could use the extra out/screen on this single GPU for the +1.
As soon as your Mosaic exceeds a single GPU, our driver needs the whole GPU (blcoks all outs) for the Mosaic, and any +1 screen needs indeed another separate GPU :-(.
so its like up to 3+1 = single GPU
4+1 runs simply from 2 GPUs, one for the mosaic, one for the extra screen
5/6/7 +1, actually need 3x GPUs, 2x are exclusive to the mosaic, the extra screen needs an extra GPU…
The GPUs running a mosaic NEED to be identical !
To have a Mosaic with sync between the GPUs, it needs a 4000 class GPU and up PLUS a Quadro SyncII card.
The extra GPU to host the +1 Screen may be any other Quadro/RTX professional GPU, preferably from the same generation of architecture, to avoid compatibility problems between generations of our GPUs…
