RTX A4000 - 1 row x 2 column Mosaic @ 3120x2160 with +1 non mosaic display

Hi Nvidia,

With RTX A4000,

I am looking at creating a 1 row, 2 column mosaic of 6240 x 2160 @ 60Hz,

With each of the 2 DP ports out pushing 3120 x 2160 @ 60Hz.

I also need to have output 3 to be a independent output of just 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz

I read on the, “NVIDIA Mosaic Technology” user guide and on page 20-21, it says,

Non-Mosaic Displays

• Users can assign some displays to a Mosaic configuration and then use the NVIDIA Control
Panel->Set Up Multiple Display page to enable another display separate from the Mosaic
setup.

Within the same system, it is possible to mix some physical displays in Mosaic with displays that aren’t in Mosaic mode. This will be expanded on in the Using Mosaic mode section.

• It is not recommended to mix synchronized displays in Mosaic mode on the same GPU with
non-synchronized displays, not in Mosaic mode. The limitation will be expanded upon in the using Mosaic mode section of this document.

I had encountered an issue whereby I can’t enable back a 3rd output back into action. Only the synchronized Mosaic display is available.

Hi, on the first GPU, we can enable any unused output for an extra display, once Mosaic spans more than a GPU, an extra display will need an extra GPU…
Not sure why you have trouble to make this config work again, but for Windows there is a commandline tool, to (easier) configure Mosaic, and also save the correct syntax for an existing Mosaic, so its easier to (programmatically) get back that known working Mosaic config…

I hope this will help you out…
