No audio over HDMI (Linux only)

I use HP Omen 15 with Nvidia RTX 2060. On Windows, everything works as it should. On Linux (Kubuntu 22.10, kernel 5.19.0, Nvidia driver 525.60.11) HDMI does not work; by that I mean that the TU106 card is set as “inactive”, with “off” being the only profile available. What’s interesting is that on Ubuntu 20.04 (KDE Neon 20.04, to be precise) audio worked. I remember using kernel version below 5.16 gave good results.

I have tried all tricks found over the internet to make the audio work on modern kernel/driver version, nothing works. Is this issue known?

Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file to your post.

I attached the log. Thank you.

The hdmi audio is detected fine by the driver
