Not every hdmi monitor working with jetson nano

I have this weird situation where the jetson nano has no hdmi output on the HP monitors in the office. But at home and in a different office building the jetson does output to the hdmi. Even after flashing the sd card again the problem persists. Is there a way to solve this?

It could be just jetson is not able to support the mode on that specific monitor.

If you need us to check what happened, you need to use some method to access your board first. For example, ssh or UART serial console.

Once this is ready, we can tell you what info needed.

I’ll suggest adding verbose logging to the X server. This causes the driver to specifically comment about every mode it sees from the EDID (which is the plug-n-play data a monitor provides to tell the video driver what modes are possible). In “/etc/X11/xorg.conf”, in Section "Device", add this line:

Section "Device"
   Option "ModeDebug"

Then, after reboot with that monitor, the log will be useful to post. Usually that log is “/var/log/Xorg.0.conf” (sometimes it is Xorg.1.conf). It’ll be the log listed from “ls -ltr /var/log/Xorg.*.log | tail -n 1”. You can use ssh or serial console to get that even if the terminal does not seem to work. Also, CTRL-ALT-F3 would go to non-GUI console.

thank you for this response. turns out the problem was the hdmi port on the monitor
