The Nvidia driver takes 30 seconds to 3 minutes to switch the power source from AC to battery after unplugging the charger, and vice versa. If I’m charging my laptop and unplug the charger, the power source in PowerMizer stays at AC for some time, during which the maximum power draw during benchmarking is 30W. It takes a while to switch to battery mode, where the maximum power draw increases to 35W.
If I’m using the battery and then plug in the AC, the power source in PowerMizer remains on battery for some time, with a maximum power draw of 35W during benchmarking. It takes some time before it switches to AC, where the maximum power draw during benchmarking increases to 47W.
