NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX Developer Kit - 4x USB 3.1 no available

Hello,
I order NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX Developer Kit for a project.
However i see that the 4xusb3.1 are not present on board.
By linux cmd i see only 4xusb2.0.

How is possible that nvidia write on spec technical a wrong characteristics?

Please help me to resolve because my sensor works only with 3.1 usb.

Regards
E.

Hi,

What kind of device are you using here? Other people can have usb3 on their board working fine but your device cannot. Maybe you can try more devices first and see if this issue only happened to specific device or not?

We Use this CAMERA: 4K USB Camera board | 13MP 4K board camera (e-consystems.com)

The camera is USB 3.1

Please let me know if the NIVIDIA XAVIER need to use a particular driver.
Check it and tell us please.
Our project is develop near your XAVIER NVIDIA.
Is very important that we have USB 3.1

Tks

Hi,

Please connect this camera to your board and share us the dmesg.

Also, do you connect 4 usb camera here?

We use the NVIDIA with UBUNTU 16,18,20 and seems that the motherboard have a chipset not USB 3.1…
Now I send dmesg lshw and lspci

Hi,

This is usb camera, so you should share lsusb but not lspci…

Also, I am not sure why you have ubuntu 16 and 20, they are not supported in any of NX official BSP software… I mean our official OS for NX is only ubuntu 18.04.

Yes we use 18.04.

Please always share full log as text file instead of image file…

Hi,

Full log means you just attach the full dmesg as a file. Do not grep usb and share a partial log. We just need the full log.

You don’t need to parse anything here.

dmseg_full.txt (74.4 KB)

Analyze the DMSEG do you find the problems?
So, currently we have the problem using camera 4k usb3.1.

The camera SDK by USB3.1 give us some information that by usb2.0 we don’t obtain.
moreover, by USB3.1 we receive 4K image instead by USB2.0 the image size is < full HD.

Hi do you analyze the log file?

Hi,

Did you also connect another usb hub here?

This VIA labs hub is not the default one on NX developer kit.

Is your camera also connected on this hub? If so, could you remove it and directly connect your camera on the default hub and share the result?

And are you sure you are using See3CAM_CU135?

We have the same camera and we are able to see it as SS device on our NX.

Please tell me if the port are 3.1 and how is possible to see that.

Do you can suggest a hub that allow us to use 8camera usb 3.1 compatible with nvidia jetson ?

Please reply our question first. The hub on devkit already supported usb 3.1.

We don’t know why you want to connect another hub on it and it might cause the usb not able to get detected.

Are you able to understand my comment here?
