I’m an academic researcher from the UK, I’ve just received the email regarding purchase from my March reservation (R6xxx)
Upon following the steps from the purchase email, clicking “add to card” on my nVIDIA marketplace reservation, the price increases from £3,096 to £3,650.
I’m midly confused, was the original price not including VAT, unlike most online stores that deals with the UK? If that was the case, shouldn’t the price be £3,096 * 1.20 = £3,715.20?
I have had no communication from nVIDIA regarding price changes during the reservation period,
Is the reserved price not honoured in any way? I’d have liked to invest the extra £619 into data storage.
Is anyone able to clarify this?
Edit:
As another note, if this is the incorrect place to post this, please indicate how to contact support regarding spark reservations.
Amusingly, clicking page links to “support” results in an infinite login loop.
Apologies to ask for an update, I know it’s late on a Friday, however my reservation window is limited, and assuming normal business hours, a response over the weekend is unlikely.
I always thought that the price was tax inclusive since our addresses were provided at the time of reservation. But it appears the $3999 or the $8049 are pre-tax?
i.t.mitchell, the DGX Spark retail price on delivery is 4180 Euros and 3650 Pounds. Due to currency exchange , shipping, and VAT costs we are providing this pricing in the EU/UK Marketplace.
Thank you for the response! It’s regretful to hear the reservation was pre-tax and shipping. Perhaps in the future, reservations should include a note of these conditions for clarity.
This is not accurate regarding the reservation price. The numbers simply don’t add up. Could you please clarify in detail how 3096 became 3699? VAT alone would take the number above 3699 so your current explanation doesn’t work..
I believe this is a mistake or something being overlooked..
