The fan speed of my NVIDIA P2000 graphics card is higher when the graphics card is not in use, and when the graphics card is in use, the fan speed is lower.
Can you please grab a NVIDIA bug report from your system and attach it here. Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root/sudo user after you observe the issue.
What does ‘graphic card not in use’ mean in this context? What applications use the GPU when it is in use?
Did this work as expected on a previous driver? Can you please share the version, if any?
A higher fan speed should cause a lower temperature, and the graph shows exactly the type of relationship between fan speed and temperature that one would expect when everything is working properly. Can you please help me understand the issue.
I have an additional question regarding Persistence mode.
I used this commande : (nvidia-smi -pm 1) and the GPU behavior is better, but I noticed that it disables itself upon reboot.
I saw that there is a “Persistence” command : nvidia-persistenced
Can you confirm if it will remain active after a reboot? If not, could you tell me how to ensure it stays enabled?
