I have an asus p16 with a RTX 4070 Max-Q It is power limited to 55w.
I can’t change the power limit/target using Nvidia-SMI. Nvidia-SMI reports a maximum power of 105w for the device.
I enable Nvidia’s poorly documented and almost entirely unmentioned Powerd Daemon ( Chapter 23. Dynamic Boost on Linux ).
It does nothing. The device is still power limited to 55w no increase in performance. Power Profiles Daemon is installed and set to performance.
The device is running Wayland gnome with the latest kernel open driver and kernel.
