Nvidia-smi says cuda 11.4?

Some people who know (not me!) say that the latest version of cuda available for my Quadro K4200 is cuda 10.2, however confusingly nvidia-smi says cuda version is 11.4.

Does this mean I can install cuda-toolkit for 11.4 and it will play nice with my 470 video drivers? Are there instructions somewhere how to install cuda-toolkit and not disrupt the video drivers? Thx. J

I think this refers to the version of tookit used to compile either the driver or nvidia-smi.
