Nvidia xavier emmc corruption after reboot when using jetpack 5.1.2

Did you customize anything in UEFI or rootfs on your BSP?

On both boards when reading register 0xC3903A8 I get 0xDEAD2003

I did not customize the UEFI while the rootfs is based on Demo rootfs with new kernel kernel.
The installation steps are

Current situation are some SOM can get this read while others cannot? or you are talking about devkit and your board situation?

I cannot read this value until this service is being executed what is around 1-2 minuets after finish kernel startup.
If I am wait I am able to read the value but with result of panic later

I just want to clarify this again. Is there any difference between your carrier board case and devkit about this issue?

For example, is it more easier to hit this issue on your board than devkit or they are same on your side?

My question is does your board have more chance to go into recovery boot easily than the devkit or not? or it is just a random behavior that you don’t know when would hit it?

The answer is Yes because from what I understood it’s takes much longer for the service to be done.
So if I will reboot earlier the system will enter into recovery mode.
On the other end over EVB with non customize image this service is done much earlier

The issue here is your custom board name is X1000SomPinmux(from the Info: Write TegraPlatformSpec with 2888-401-0004-B.0-1-2-X1000SomPinmux-.) which is based on AGX Xavier. AGX Xavier only has eMMC and does not have QSPI, the nv-l4t-bootloader-config.sh should write the variable TegraPlatformCompatSpec to the esp partition path instead of the /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/TegraPlatformSpec.

Please add the customized board name to the jetson_emmc_only_boards() list in nv-l4t-bootloader-config.sh:
