Why is this message above the Omniverse Launcher download link saying that support is ending at the end of 2024? Is this true? If so, what’s coming next?:
To better serve developers using legacy Omniverse tooling, download Launcher to access Connectors and sample applications that are available but no longer in development. Launcher is still supported until the end of 2024. <

We are moving away from Launcher and instead having all of our Omniverse technology being incorporated into our SDK and kit app templates where you can build your own 106 / 107 apps. The SDK is freely available to everyone and so are the kit app templates. If you go here you can download 106 and try them out. GitHub - NVIDIA-Omniverse/kit-app-template: Omniverse Kit App Template

Thanks for the prompt reply. I don’t have any specific concerns. The reason I needed to know was because I am currently writing some guidlines for downloading and installing USD Composer, so was referring to the Launcher.
Well you can still do the Launcher way, even if support ends at the end of this year, BUT if you want to stay ahead of the curve, the new method is to download the KAT (Kit App Template) from GitHub and follow these easy commands to build it yourself. The good thing is it just takes one person at a company to download and build it and them we make it easy to “package” it for wide distribution around the internal company. I would certainly go that method.
