one pci-e *16 and one pci-e *8 for S870, is it OK?

Hello!
My tesla-pc consists of a S870 and a HP workstation which has a NVS 290 in it . That workstation has two pci-e *16 and one pci-e *8. pic-e *8 has been occupied by NVS 290 so that S870 can only occupies the remaining *16 slot and *8 slot. So I simply want to know whether will this combination seriously affect the performance. Is it to give both the two *16 slot to S870 that could produce the optimal performance?
Thanks!

If you can, I’d put the Tesla on the two *16 slots. If any app running on the system has a large number of host<->device memory transfers, the x8 slot is really going to hurt their performance.
