The Orin NX does not have an operating lifetime specified in the datasheet, but is it guaranteed to operate for 5 years, assuming 24/7?
If we assume 12 hours of intermittent operation per day, is it possible to use the product for more than 5 years?
In other words, can we assume a longer product life to match the operating hours?
In theory, that could be, but I can’t comment and guarante this as all products need to have their lifetime and warranty.
You should follow the information from datasheet.
Thank you for your reply.
Could you also give us your opinion on the following question?
AGX Xavier is specified in DS as “Operating Lifetime (24x7)”, I would like to know if Orin NX also specifies Operating Lifetime with 24x7 operating conditions as well.
I am awaiting an answer to the above-mentioned question.
I also have an additional question.
The Orin NX datasheet appears to have a Lifetime of 5 years as shown below.
On the other hand, the following website states that the Operating Lifetime for Orin NX is 7 years. Which is correct?
Could you tell me about the current status? I await your responses on this issue.
I will foward to our internal team to review whih one is correct.
The short answer is that it’s the same for all commercial Jetson modules as you saw in FAQ.
Our internal team will review and do the update on relevant docs. Thanks
The Orin NX is guaranteed to operate for 7 years, assuming 24/7 operation, correct?
By further confirmation from internal team, 5 years is the operating lifetime of module, 7 years is the product lifecycle meaning how long we will sell the modules for.
That’s a mistake on the FAQ webpage where is has the operating lifetime, our internal team will fix it.
Sorry to bring the confusion.
Please respond as to whether the operating lifetime is guaranteed to be 5 years 24/7.
Yes, that’s the same as Orin module datasheet: Operating Lifetime (24x7): 5 years
Thank you for your answer.
The AGX Orin datasheet mentions 24/7, but the Orin NX does not, so an update to the documentation would be appreciated.
Our internal team are working with documentation team to update the document, will be also working with Web team to fix the error on FAQ page (for Product Lifecycle).
