Orin crashed because of a camera error

Hi, NV team,
we are using the camera on our custom board.
jetpack: jetpack 5.1.2
the camera link: ar0231 + ap0202 + max96705 + max96712 + orin

according to your help, we have fix a bug about camera which will cause the system crash.just as below

it real works on jetpack5.0.2 and jetpack5.1.1 and when jetpack5.1.2 comes, I also apply the patch to jetpack5.1.2. and long time test. it real do works. but recently I just find one orin reboot itself. and some special log about camera show as follow.

Oct 12 13:38:50 orin-master kernel: [80371.942370] [RCE] BUG: camera-ip/vi5/vi5.c:415 [vi5_check_falcon_failure] "VI FALCON FAILURE: 0x40000000"

so I suppose the camera error cause the system crashed. Unfortunately, it’s so hard for us to reproduce this scene. and can you give me some hints, and how to solve this problem?

hello mmcly,

we’ve recently address some camera bugs for JP-5.1.2/l4t-r35.4.1
please see-also below threads to apply the bug fixes for verification.
for example,
Topic 268833, for camera firmware to update deskew algorithm, and also stability fixes,
Topic 268519, to fix memory corruption within libnvargus

@JerryChang ok, thank you for your quick reply. I will try the first firmware, and it may take long time to verify. If I have a definite conclusion, it will be updated in this topic
