PVF and MS Visual Studio

Does the PVF package include the libraries for building a Windows application a la Microsoft Development Studio?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

It depends on what you want to build. The Microsoft Open Tools contains a subset of the Windows SDK, so you should be able to build Windows applications like PVF’s Menu Dialog sample in addition to the console apps. There are examples and PVF project types included with the product. Typically though, our users will write their GUI’s using Microsoft languages and then use PVF to write a Fortran library for their compute intensive routines.

Hope this helps,
Mat
