Regression: 1920×1080@144 Hz mode missing on VG279QR since driver 580.105.08

Hi everyone,

I apologize if this is not the right channel for this bug report.

I recently (11-11-2025) updated my system and I experienced a regression with this new driver:

[2025-11-11T08:14:08+1300] [ALPM] upgraded nvidia-utils (580.95.05-1 → 580.105.08-1)
[2025-11-11T08:14:11+1300] [ALPM] upgraded nvidia-dkms (580.95.05-1 → 580.105.08-1)

Drm was not listing any resolution with above 100Hz coming from the driver for my monitor Asus VG279QR. I downgraded the driver to 580.95.05-1 and it worked fine again.

Some more extra info that I think it can be helpful:

Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Max-Q / Mobile [Discrete]
Kernel: 6.12.57-1-lts
WM: Hyprland 0.52.1 (Wayland)
OS: Arch Linux x86_64

I reported this regression in the evening of Nov 10, and yesterday they gave the following update:

some more info in that thread and here if you’re interested. I’ll note for me it was both HDMI and DP impacted.
