I have a DS 6.0 C++ app that works fine on one Jetson Xavier NX device.
Today I tried to make and run it on another Jetson Xavier NX with newer Jetpack and DS 6.2 installed.
It runs but dumps core upon saving a cropped image on disk with the following message:
JPEG parameter struct mismatch: library thinks size is 720, caller expects 728
I looked up the forum and noticed it’s a well known issue.
I installed Jetpack 5.1 from a SD card and followed these instructions to install dependencies and Deepstream 6.2. I also had to do the follwong to be able to make it:
sudo apt-get install libgstreamer1.0-dev libjson-glib-dev libgstrtspserver-1.0-dev libjpeg-dev
but it still gives me the same error.
I was able to make and run deepstream-image-meta-test sample.
So my question is - what else can I try to make it work as it works on older Jetpack/DS6.0?

Why did need to install libjpeg-dev? This package conflict to DeepStream internal libjpeg library.
Please make sure your app does not use libjpeg-dev.

Well, my code did not make straight away after migrating from 6.0 to 6.2 because of missing headers and search on this forum brought an answer regarding installing libgstreamer1.0-dev, libjson-glib-dev and libgstrtspserver-1.0-dev (can’t find it now) and my own code has something to do with libjpeg so I added that to the installation as well.

Anyway, it was not needed because the segfault was caused by my code but masked by the message. I flashed a new with Jetpack 5.1, installed DS 6.2 according to the instructions and after fixing my code it works.

Could you tell me what do suffixes like JetPack 5.1 GA mean?

GA means “General Access”.
