SLI in UE4 gameworks integration

I have a laptop with 1070 SLI and workstation with 1080 SLI, on either machine, when running projects built with Nvidia’s UE4 gameworks integion, I’m unable to get significant utilization of the 2nd GPU.
However, if I build the same projects using Nvidia’s UE4 VRworks integration, I see nearly full utilization of both GPU using nvidia-smi, as well as significantly higher frame rates, even if VR SLI is off with vr.mGPU = 0.

Is there something that I need to do to enable regular (nonVR) SLI in the UE4 Gameworks integration?
