sMCU is AGX Thor T5000 dev kit schematic

Hi team,
Could you tell me why there is a sMCU section connection in schematic of AGX Thor T5000 developer kit? I am aware that the Jetson Thor T5000 SoM doesn’t support FSI feature, but i have observed sMCU section in the schematic of the same SoM and the connector J67 has been made no mount.
Also, in page number1 0 why there is level translator option between sMCU and SoC despite the jetson T5000 SoM not supporting FSI/sMCU feature?

The SMCU/FSI-related circuitry shown in the Jetson AGX Thor T5000 developer kit schematic is not a supported Jetson Thor T5000 feature. Jetson Thor T5000 does not support SMCU/FSI; those features apply to IGX Thor.

For Jetson T5000 carrier design, please follow the Jetson Thor Series Modules Data Sheet and Jetson Thor Series Modules Interface Design Guide for the supported interfaces. If you are designing a common carrier for both Jetson Thor and IGX Thor, then the SMCU/FSI-related circuitry would only be relevant for the IGX Thor use case and should be handled according to the IGX functional safety collateral.

ok got it.
I see that both Jetson T5000 development board and IGX T5000 development board have almost same schematics. Was it designed deliberately so that a single design can be used for both the SoM? (Jetson T5000 SoM and IGX T5000 SOM)

I do not have that information available. The bottom line is that Jetson Thor does not support sMCU and IGX Thor does support sMCU.
