sMCU design guide for IGX T5000

Hi

In order to develop a custom carrier board for the IGX T5000, with Function Safety Island support, I am looking for information on how to connect a custom sMCU to the SoC.

According to the schematic of the NVIDIA IGX T5000 Reference Carrier Board (P4071-A04), we can see many connections (SPI, CAN, SOC_ERROR, HANDSHAKE…) between the FSI / SoC Controls and the sMCU.

Is there a design guide available to list the requirements for the sMCU ? I’ve read Safety Extension Package SW should be involved. How can I get it (and it’s associated documentation).

By developing our own sMCU, our goal are :

  • support telemetry (sMCU reads IGX T5000 sensors) for IPMI
  • support FSI
