Supported Cable Mode issues!

Hello,

I have a 3m breakout cable (Vendor PN : MCP7F00-A003R30L) which is listed to be a supported cable for ConnectX-6 DX NIC.

But unfortunately the link is not up with 100G speed. When checking the mlxlink
Enabled Link Speed : 0x00f00000 (100G)
Supported Cable Speed : 0x08001005 (25G,10G,1G)

there is no 100G in Supported Cable Speed. Nevertheless the same cable with ConnectX-4, link is successfully up with 100G.

mlxlink (ConnectX-4) shows:
Enabled Link Speed : 0xf8f1f0d3 (100G,50G,40G,25G,10G,1G)
Supported Cable Speed : 0x48101165 (100G,56G,50G,40G,25G,20G,10G,1G)

Is it possible to make this cable work with 100G on Connectx-6. If so how could it be done?

Thanks,

Any help regarding this? The same cable doesn’t work with connectX5 as well.

Try to do command mlxcables to show supported modes and cable EEPROM
