System throttled due to overcurrent and shutdown

Hello friends,

My jetson nano kit is shutting down all the time.

The board’s power supply is adjustable at 5V2 and has a capacity of up to 3.2A. The board is not heating up because it has coolers to dissipate the heat (pictures attached).

The temperature of the jetson nano kit is low according to “run tegrastats”.

The power of kit is set to MAX.

And yet the kit is shutting down all the time.

This is my setup

Can someone help me please??

use a powered USB hub

Thanks for message @mhd0425

What’s the problem with the power supply through the jack connector?

The jack can source up to 4amps. Maybe connect directly instead of through your switch, or you can power via J41 header for up to 5amps

But it is most likey your USB. There is a pin connected to detect over current

But the app I want to run doesn’t even need 2A.

I believe it is not a problem to feed the kit through the jack connector.

Do you have any other suggestions please?

Max needs 10W. on top of that you have many usb peripherals which need more power. I don’t know how you determined it only needs 2A. The RTS5411S or TPS259530DSG has overcurrent pins connected to the Jetson… not really sure how it works

I have a regulated DC power supply that shows current average consume and the never reached 2A.

Try a different power supply
