TensorFlow stops Jetson Inference

Hi,

Summary:
I installed TensorFlow, following the guide from https://github.com/tensorflow/models/blob/master/research/object_detection/g3doc/installation.md
and after that Jetson Inference stopped working.
At first it couldn’t find some libraries, and now I cannot reinstall it.

Details:

  • I had JetPack 4.2.1 on a Dell laptop, cuda-10.0, tensorflow-gpu 1.14 - everything was working, like on my TX2
  • Then I installed TensorFlow, following the guide from the above link
  • Something broke - cuda-10.0 libs are there but the sym link was gone; next, jetson inference complained it couldn’t find lib infer 5; and now, trying to reinstall it, it complains:

CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.

and then it lists everything in the jetson-inference itself(!).

I tried to recreate the sym links, export the paths to the cuda etc.

Any ideas or help are most appreciated.

BTW - since this is not directly TX2, another place I can post this at?

Thanks

Hi,

Could you recompile jetson_inference to see if works?
If not, could you share the complete error log with us?

Thanks.

@AastaLLL,
I cannot recompile - I get the following:

CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
CUDA_CUDART_LIBRARY (ADVANCED)
linked by target “jetson-inference” in directory
… same for other subfolders…

followed by:
CUDA_TOOLKIT_INCLUDE (ADVANCED)
used as include directory in directory
… same for everything else under the jetson-infrence path…

I’ll add, maybe it would help, that I’m using darknet too, and that broke as well.
At first it said it could not open the libdarknet.so and now, when I try to recompile, it issues the error that:
include/darknet.h:11:14: fatal error: cuda_runtime.h: No such file or directory

I have added the sym link to cuda from cuda-10.0 and various exports to the cuda paths I found inline, but nothing helped.

Thanks

AastaLLL,

I reinstalled cuda etc and now am able to use jetson inference and darknet.

Thanks
