Hi there, thanks for the excellent threads which helped me to at least get an almost working system after starting from 20.04 with the 460 driver and ending up at black screens.

Since the 21.04 upgrade and 465 driver, at least I have a gnome desktop, but the system is more or less useless through the ui.

the system lags severely whenever opening any application which is relying on gpu functionality it seems.

after removing and adding 465 once more i get a super laggy bootscreen and cpu panics: since driver 465.31 i get error messages like this:

kernel:[   84.409514] watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#7 stuck for 22s! [systemd-udevd:635]

and now i can only control the system through ssh, as the system is stuck booting with more error messages like

i guess it is related to this thread: 465.24.02 page fault - #18 by rnbzilla i am running a 5K display via display port as well, the older 465 release worked with the lag, the newer completely crashes the system and 460 disables changes to the display settings.
