Unable to disable telemetry through DGX Dashboard (or UI bug)

Under http://127.0.0.1:11000/settings > System tab you can uncheck the Analytics and data usage and it remains unchecked - as long as you don’t refresh the page.

and after a refresh

I am not clear whether or not it is actually disabled, whether it is just a UI bug or not.

I noticed that as well. Whenever you refresh the dashboard, it automatically enables the analytics and usage data.

We can confirm that telemetry collection is disabled. We will push fix in future update

Issue is fixed in previous update, marking as answered

@aniculescu I’ve installed the latest update, but I still see this ticking itself each time I reload the page. Can you confirm which version it’s fixed in, and how I check my version is up-to-date?

@aniculescu I can also confirm, after rebooting and checking for updates that I:

  1. Have not received a new update via the DGX dashboard since my initial setup about a month ago.
  2. Still am not seeing the true state of the telemetry via the DGX Dashboard, it appears to be permanently enabled.

EDIT: I was able to get an update to appear in the dashboard by first running sudo apt update and then refreshing the web page, but am still experiencing the same behavior as @DannyTup.

Apologies that was a bit of a premature answer, this will be fixed in the next major update

Got it, thanks! Are you able to confirm what the current version is? The release notes online say 7.3.0 was released on Oct 30th, but after updating cat /etc/dgx-release still shows 7.2.3 for me.

Please reference the Spark release Notes, not DGX OS
