Using a Tesla T4 for GPU tasks - on the metal

Hi - I have a HPE DL360 G10 server equipped with a Tesla T4 GPU.

I would like to use this for graphics rendering tasks using CasparCG, an open source graphics package.
I’m running Windows Server 2016 and Nvidia GRID driver version 453.64. This appears to be working and the application loads fine, but on reboots, windows is locking up on the start up screen.

I tried the latest driver version, which is 529.19. This resolves the start-up issue, but I can’t work out how to change the GPU to graphics mode, so CasparCG won’t run. It can’t see the GPU.

I’m also not able to download Nvidia Control Panel due to the lack of Windows Store on Windows Server platforms.

Does anybody have any experience with the issues I’m facing?

Server 2016 is only supported until R470 branch. You should start to use the right driver or update your OS

Thank you - where can I find the GRID variant of this driver? I can only see the latest version in the Enterprise portal.

Use the filtering function in the portal? BTW: R470 is vGPU 13 and already EOL. I would recommend to update to at least Server 2019.
There is also a standalone NVCPL downloadable in the portal for exactly the issue you describe with not having a store. Why do you not simply open a support ticket with our NVEX? (assuming you have properly licensed your environment) I’m pretty sure our support could help pretty quickly.

Got it, thank you! Will get everything updated on Tuesday. We’re only running a trial at the moment, but hope to switch to a proper environment once everything is tested.
