I am new to the nvidia community> I am trying to take pictures with a CSI camera using the nvgstcapture-1.0 command. Sometimes the camera will a take viewed on my display, and sometimes the camera will not take a picture> Following the instructions listed in the instruction press j does not store the image.

Where will the image be stored?

The jetson nano 2gb always resets after the command has been executed. Why ?

Where are the images stored?
Why are images somtimes displayed?

Please assist Thanks Bob at rjaffeco@gmail.com

hello rjaffeco,

it’ll report the message with… Image saved to <file_name> for writing encoded image.
please also share the error logs which doesn’t store and image, or, details to reset the system.

BTW,
here’s another sample gst pipeline to assign all the settings, and you can even specify the path to save your JPG files.
for instance,
$ gst-launch-1.0 nvarguscamerasrc num-buffers=1 ! 'video/x-raw(memory:NVMM), width=2592, height=1944' ! nvjpegenc ! filesink location=sample.jpg
