using Nvidia and ATI cards?

hi all,

i want to use the nvidia card to do all the programming and the ATI (my old card) to just display. are there any special drivers to install? i just plan on sliding the Nvidia card to the spare PCI-E slot that is already on my motherboard.

any thoughts?
