VNC instructions failing

I’ve just got the desktop working and there is a directory in the task bar L4T-Readme and following the instructions in README-vnc.txt the first error in it I come across is vino seems already installed.
gsettings set org.gnome.vino enabled true
gets no such key
and even following the other instructions seems to provide no vnc server.
