Since yesterday VSphere 6.0 is available for download.
Will there be new drivers available for download?
Or should the driver for 5.5 be used following the instructions for unsupported versions?

I know that procedure but Mellanox VPI isn’t a unified fabric adapter in vSphere environment anymore.
Just show a full capability in Linux environment.
Mellanox shows a some possibility about multi purpose unified high performance interface in vSphere 4.x era
Mellanox was support a multi-port IPoIB, SRP and Ethernet connection capability, but not now!
My current vSphere test lab is FC, FCoE fabric now that is very stable.
I’m waitng for new release of vSphere OFED for VPI and will be decide for our internal fabric and customer’s.

I think that Mellanox’s new vSphere OFED for VPI can support iSER, rNFS, SR-IOV on vSphere environment
then they will be a 1st choice for enterprise vSphere environment.
In the meantime I took one of the servers out of production and installed a clean version of ESX 6.0.
If you would like to use the infiniband driver package then remove the inbox ethernet drivers with
esxcli software vib remove -n=nmlx4-core -n=nmlx4-en -n=nmlx4-rdma
and install the last driver package for 5.*
esxcli software vib install -d /MLNX-OFED-ESX-1.8.2.4-10EM-500.0.0.472560.zip --no-sig-check
Et voila

Mellanox’s new vSpher OFED driver for VPI was always release very~ lately after new vSphere release.
I think it’ll release at end of this year or 2Q of next year…:(
