vulkan segfaults when running with nvidia 387.x (12/22) and ubuntu 17.10

I have a nvidia 960m, always worked with previous ubuntu versions, but since i upgraded to 17.10 im unable to run vulkan, it always segfaults when running any vulkan test.

i reverted to the 384.90 driver and applied the fix:

and now i have a working vulkan/opengl setting.

applying the aforementioned fix with the 387.22 driver doesnt work, i still get the same segfault.
