Is there a list of NVIDIA GPUs that support CUDA’s dual copy engine?
I have an application that benefits from dual copy engine, but I’m finding it difficult to find a list of which cards support this feature. I think that most NVIDIA Quadro GPUs have dual copy engines for CUDA and GeForce do not, but there are exceptions.
Exceptions to this rule of thumb:
Quadro K2200M does not have dual copy engines.
GeForce GTX 950 and GTX TITAN X do have dual copy engines.
Alternatively, can I simulate a particular GPU model, and use CUDA to query all of its properties?
Look at the deviceQuery sample application on how to check for the number of copy engines on a particular GPU (sample output below). There is no GPU simulation that I am aware of, you will need to test actual GPUs to find out.
