I double checked the list of compatible video cards and according the the CUDA site my 8600m GS in my laptop is fine. However when I install the driver it says something about “no compatible hardware found”. Anyone else seen this, or have any ideas? I know at least one other guy who said he had this problem.
NVIDIA just announced that they are now delivering laptop drivers. I think you can find the announcement on nvidia.com. Otherwise go to [url=“http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/”]Forums - LaptopVideo2Go Forums
Oh great, thanks.
Edit: Hey wait a sec. That latest one (179) is the one I just installed. That one installs OK, but CUDA doesn’t do anything. Of course I am using alpha version software, so maybe that’s it. The software works fine CUDA-wise on my desktop so I guess I assumed it would everywhere.
It might be related to the amount of memory on the card–cudaMalloc might be failing and the app is dying silently.
