a nvgstcapture-1.0 which I compiled by myself from the source codes occurs an error.

I want to compile nvgstcapture-1.0 from the source codes.
actually the compilation was success. But the execution result is the following.

** (nvgstcapture-1.0:3631): ERROR **: 20:57:20.048: <create_csi_cap_bin:2628> Element nvcamerasrc creation failed

Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

How can I fix this to make it work?

hello DONGYUN,

may I know more details about your environment setups, which JetPack release you’re working with.
please also refer to L4T Multimedia API Reference for the steps to build the samples.
Or, please access L4T Accelerated GStreamer User Guide, and check the [GSTREAMER BUILD INSTRUCTIONS] session for details.
thanks

Hi,
Please check if you have version matched. nvcamerasrc is deprecated on r32.1. One possibility is that you run old version nvgstcapture-1.0 on new version system image.

I have this exact problem now with Jetpack 4.51 on a Jetson Nano. I followed the instructions in the README but it won’t work. I followed the links above but can’t find a reference to building nvgstcapture-1.0. Is there something else I need to know?

I figured it out, more from DaneLLL. It was a version mismatch. Found what I needed at https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/downloads. For the Nano, the nvgstcapture-1.0 source is in the ‘L4T Sources’ package. The latest one seemed to be version 32.3.1 for the Nano. Anyway, building this version worked for me, now using release 32.6. Note that there seems to be a different versioning system for TX1 and TX2, version 28.4 comes up.

Hope this fills in some missing information from this thread.
