Hi NV Team,
In your P4071_A02 concept schematics, I noticed the SYS_VIN_HV path is labeled as 20V/15A, (Buck mode) which appears to imply 300W. This seems much higher than Jetson Thor’s TDP of around 130W, so I would like to understand what would be a reasonable continuous power design target for SYS_VIN_HV under continued operation. (130watt or 168 watt??)
T5000 SYS_VIN_HV Imax was updated after evaluation of extreme stress applications. SYS_VIN_HV EDP can reach up to 330W at 100us to 1ms moving average (continuous power) and peak power can reach up to 22A@20V for <6us (peak power, matching the IDDmax value updated in Table 6-2 Absolute Maximum Ratings in v1.4 of the Jetson Thor Series Modules Data Sheet).
The 168W mentioned at Jetson Thor Product Family — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide that you screen captured is due to the limit of the power adapter included with the Jetson Thor Developer Kit as mentioned in the note below the table:
