After booting, the Jetson Orin Nano does not connect to the SD card

I have a Jetson Orin Nano. I was able to run this device with no issues. It has an SD card with the latest image file for the Jetson Orin Nano. Until two days ago, it was working without any problems. For example, I would power up the device and connect it to a monitor. Then, the Nvidia UEFI screen would appear. I would press enter to boot. Initially, the fan of the Jetson Orin Nano would stop, the screen would go blank, and after 5 seconds, the fan would start working again, and the screen would come back. The Ubuntu system would then start up. However, now, when I press enter, the fan stops, and sometimes it starts again, but the screen does not come back. Other times, neither the fan starts again nor does the screen come back. I have tried using a different SD card. I have also reset the current SD card and reinstalled the system, but it did not solve the problem. When I press enter now, after 5 seconds, the fan starts working, but the screen still does not come back. What solution would you suggest?

Suggest to download SDK Manager to your host and follow user guide steps to re-flash BSP on your device.

Thank you for your response. However, as far as I understand from my research, the computer on which I am performing these operations needs to have Ubuntu installed. As an alternative method, I came across topics about increasing RAM. I couldn’t figure out how to do that part. Could you explain that step by step?

Hi kiliceren07,

Are you using the devkit or custom board for Orin Nano?

What do you mean about the latest image?
Is it Jetpack5.1.3(R35.5.0) or Jetpack 6.0GA(R36.3.0)?

Could you share the full serial console log at this moment for further check?

I have a Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit. I installed the system on the SD card using the SD Card Image Method from the website JetPack SDK | NVIDIA Developer, which I believe is version 6.0.

I’m not sure how to view and send the console logs. To explain my problem more briefly: I used to start the Jetson Orin Nano with a monitor. When I pressed Enter on the Nvidia screen, it would shut down and restart after 5 seconds. Then, the Ubuntu system would appear. Currently, when I press Enter on the Nvidia screen, it stops and does not restart after 5 seconds. Even if it occasionally restarts, the monitor does not display a connection.

Please refer to the following instruction to capture the serial console log on the devkit.
