AR experience using CloudXR streaming on headsets

Hi Guys,

I would like to know, if it is possible to stream Pass through AR, using cloudXR on headsets.


AR-in-VR (which is really XR at that point) is FEASIBLE in the underlying libraries we use, but no, we have not yet exposed that configuration (quad RGB/A/RBG/A streams). I’m not sure if this is on the roadmap for the next release, but would expect it is on overall roadmap for the year given the devices coming to market.

Of course… if you got tricky, and ran it as an AR session, but encoded a SxS stereo view in RGB and A, you MIGHT get something to work. I can’t guarantee performance, and you won’t be able to use our auto foveation. On a perfect network, it might work. It’s not zero effort, as you have to pack and unpack things differently than we do in samples today.

Again, I would think it is on the roadmap given the next gen HMDs lining up, but I have no specific timeframe.

I just wanted to drop a note that I’m also interested in trying this on CloudXR 3.2.
