I found the bundle.

I also installed the stage recorder:

So now I can record the sim, but what next?
How do I use this .ovd file?

This is connected to the closed topic here:

And this:

But I have no idea how to use the “load ovd” in Kit 106, it looks completely different here:

I understand its this thing that Tyler is doing:

But the UI and names of the buttons are so different on Kit106 that I cannot follow myself without your help.

It is just a cache file. The OVD just caches the simulation so it should play back faster. That’s all it does. If you want the simulation “active” you leave it alone as is. The cache file should help.

If you want to “bake it out” to keyframes you can use the State Recorded. None of that workflow has changed.

thank you! I am fully aware of the terms and the differences of them.
I have used cache files for decades on other 3d and video software.

Can someone link me to a documentation on how to use this OVD on Kit106 to create that cache file and use it, please?
As you can see from my above video, I can bake the sim = record the cache file but how do I bring it in and use it on my scene in Kit106?

If not available, what is the closest tutorial for it? Maybe with that I can make it work by trial and error.

If you have baked the sim and recorded the cache, all you have to do it set the file path in the OmniPVD and now it will playback really smooth. Make you have both Physics Debug AND OmniPVD Extension loaded. Once you recorded the ovd file in the debug settings, make sure you hit “Load Latest” in OmniPVD to reload the scene using the ovd file you recorded

And make sure you “BAKE” here
