Bug Report - HDR has to be disabled/enabled each time monitor wakes up from sleep

  • Windows 10 Professional
  • GTX 1080TI
  • Driver 460.97
  • 3840 x 2160 resolution 60Hz refresh rate
  • Nvidia color settings YCbCr422, 10 bpc, 32 bit depth
  • HDR enabled
  • LG C6 OLED

Reproduction steps:

  1. Boot computer
  2. Turn off display
  3. Turn on display

Issue: Display is (always) faded and mouse occasionally lags.

Workaround: Disable HDR in Windows settings and enable it again. Once enabled again, the brightness is restored and the mouse lag is gone.

Expected results: The monitor should display the proper brightness without mouse lag when it wakes from sleep. HDR should not have to be disabled and enabled to fix the issue.

Misc notes: mouse doesn’t always lag, however, display is always dim when coming out of sleep. I have tried enabling hardware accelerated GPU scheduling with no improvements. The bug was not present in older major revisions of drivers.
