I am using Fedora 40 and GeForce GT 730 card. Kernel 6.10.10 removed the function “follow_pfn” and driver build fails. This problem was also reported with post here: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/failed-to-rebuild-470-driver-in-fedora-fc40-when-upgrading-kernel/303201 on Aug 21. Please update driver.

In doing some more research, I found this post: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/gpl-only-symbols-follow-pte-and-rcu-read-unlock-prevent-470-256-02-to-build-with-kernel-6-10/300052.
Kepler/v470 support ended in september, so I guess there won’t be another update from Nvidia. Seems it’s up to distro/user patching now.

I read that too. I was hoping that Nvidia would have made one last release at that time with a fix for this.
Yes, I was also surprised this wasn’t happening as the last release is from May, already.
