Can we power Jetson Xavier NX with 5V?

Hello to the Nvidia community,

I want to beg the following questions:

  1. Can we power Jetson Xavier NX with 5 V through a jack wire or a micro usb?
  2. In case we are able to do it, will we have the optimal computational performance with 5 V?
  3. Will we have the optimal computational performance using a LiPo battery 11,1 V of 3 cells instead of just 5 V?

Please take into account that we want to connect jetson to a robot, so our only option is a battery and we can not have as our power supply a plug

Thank you

Hi, please read the Xavier NX module datasheet and product design guide in DLC first.

The VDD_IN is requested to be 4.75v ~ 5.25v.

Sorry, it was a misunderstanding as I didn’t mention that I am referring to the Developer Kit and not to the module.

That’s why I made this question as in the documentation is mentioned that the power supply has to be between 9 and 19 V, but I read here that is feasible to power Xavier NX with 5 V through SYS_VIN_MV

Xavier NX is not Xavier, it is requested 4.75v ~ 5.25v.

You can get all info in DLC to read the related docs. That’s official doc DLC.
