Basically my laptop has HDMI output port so is it possible to use it as external monitor if I connect to Jetson Tx2 board using HDMI cable? or with the help of any external adapter like connecting jetson with hdmi and laptop to usb.
HDMI output port is not the same as HDMI input, evidently.
is it possible to use it as external monitor - yes, it is possible but you will need a specific adapter that will get outputs of tx2 and convert them e.g. into usb input at laptop that will be displayed at laptop screen
