I see some discrepancies here I do not understand. You are using two Amazon EC2 vm’s? Why does it then say Azure? I see that on the first machine on the left, it says you are in “Cineshare” and you have nothing blocked with the red lock icon. However, on the right it says “Omniverse_Azure” and the scene is blocked out. Nothing will work correctly until you get rid of those red locks for both users.
You are using 1 user for the left, and one user for the right? I would say there is an issue with either the right hand server, or the right hand user permissions. Have you tried reversing it? Logging into test user 2 on the left and test user 1 on the right?
What are the permissions on your collaboration folder? Looking at user 2 it looks like it has read-only access (which is visible with that lock icon on the directories and files).
The permissions you’re showing that are the “same” are on different directories and are not actually the same. You’ve assigned user 1 to have read/write/admin on one of the directories, and user 2 to have read/write/admin on the other.
Live Edit requires that all users have read/write access to the live directory, as they are modifying the data with Live Edit.
Yes thank you @dlindsey that makes a lot of sense. @pekka3 you need BOTH users to have full access to the entire working stack. The server, the Projects folder, and whatever folder your usd file is located in. So at least “CollaborativeScene”
Super!
Thank you @dlindsey and @Richard3D I got it now running:
Cannot wait to add my Ada-6000 on this!
Pekka
