I want to use an XFP transceiver for 10gigabit functionality on my carrier board which will use XFI lanes to connect to the Orin.
However XFI/XFP uses I2C communication for status and setup. It seems like the Orin uses MDIO for the same.
How would I go on about connecting the transceiver to the Orin since XFI standard uses I2C while the Orin uses MDIO?
Hi, we don’t have suggestion on the design that is not in the guide as that is not validated on Orin. You may need to handle that by yourself. Or you can check with the vendors in Ecosystem to find out if any validated design.
