Consistent driver crash and black screen on insider geforce driver 455.41

This crash is happening several times an hour, screens go black for about 5 seconds and eventually come back, usually but not always with Windows Explorer staying black and windows doing the ol’ solitaire win animation when you drag them around. Requires manual restart of Explorer from task manager or reboot to fully recover.

The crash generally occurs regularly while watching a Youtube video and scrolling down to the comments while its playing (in Chrome). Other apps I also have running are Discord, and Slack.

I have the same issue,

Software:
Windows Version: Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview 20150.rs_prerelease.200612-1734
Nvidia Driver: 451.67 installed via Geforce Experience

I never get it while gaming, getting it while browsing Discord or watching YouTube. I’ve got the exact same error. My way of fixing it is plugging the monitor off the GPU and back in.

Hi, I have the same Issue. It happen sometimes.

Same issue here when browsing pages with video content.
Reddit/Youtube/embedded video in forums.

When the video reaches the border while scrolling, the screen goes black and the driver hangs, coming back 2 seconds later.
Sometimes my taskbar will not reappear too.

Same issue as well, the event log has hundreds of continual errors that last for a few minutes before the machine crashes to BSOD. I’ve had several moments when the screen goes to black for a second or two and then appears to reset itself over the past couple years, but lately the issue seems to lead to system crash.

I’ve updated the nvida drivers as of last week. I’m using the GeForce GTX 1080ti on a windows 10 pro 64bit system (Acer Predator 9000), nvidia driver version 457.30. My computer has crashed to BSOD twice since the latest driver download and update.

I’ve read that sometimes reinstalling the video card helps, but honestly everything from the system overheating to bad ram to a cornucopia of other issues have been suggested, which leads me to believe the answer is there is no answer and people like to guess a lot. My system temp is cooler than average computers, I do not overclock the computer, I have been using this computer a lot over the past year while working from home due to covid-19.
