Could Tesla P4 work for a workstation, say HP z820/840 or dell precision tower 5810

I am working on a cuda project, need using a P4 production. I checked NV only provides server list not for workstation. I also checked the interface fits here, pcie 3.0 x16, could I just insert card and use it? Is there anything else I need notice?

You should only use Tesla products in servers that are qualified for those products.

If you insert the card in a system not designed for it, it is likely to overheat, amongst other concerns.
