Could Tesla P4 work for a workstation, say HP z820/840 or dell precision tower 5810

I am working on a GPU virtualization project, need using a P4 production. I checked NV only provides server list not for workstation. I also checked the interface fits here, pcie 3.0 x16, could I just insert card and use it? Is there anything else I need notice?
