Create: Movie Capture to exr: Depth, World Position etc passes for compositing and post process

Hi dear team,
first of all - it’s so cool. ) Installed it today, so easy to use and results are nice! and speed - oh my god!
Is it possible to export utilities (depth, world position, object position, etc )and AOVs for further compositing work?
I understand that with usd I can generate utilities in Nuke for example, or Maya. But would be great to generate multichannel exr.

thank you
Vlad.

Another question - is it possible to enable geometry only for shadow casting and not render it? )

Hi @vakhtyrskiy! Thanks for posting your questions! I’ve reached out to the Movie Capture Developer. In the meantime, here is a link to our current documentation for the Movie Capture tool.

AOV’s are planned but not in yet.

You can hide an object from the camera but cast shadows though

Hi @vakhtyrskiy, for the depth, world position, object position passes of exr, we had discussions on how to enable more settings for users to choose which channels to export but they’re not done yet. Let me check out plan on it and get back to you.

hey @fdelise
HA! nice one! Love it!
Thank you.

Hi @quchen
Thank you, as it’s so new - I am just proposing a way to deliver results from Omniverse for post production - so in compositing we can rebuild lighting based on AOVs and use utilities and make it correct to fit in to a filmed plate.
In compositing in post production we are greedy for control, but we love speed.
Also object id’s - to GitHub - Psyop/Cryptomatte: Cryptomatte Nuke plugin, Fusion plugin, sample images, and specification - ca be useful for everyone in VFX world.
Thank you and for everyone in your team pushing this product!
V.
