How do I render a scene in EXR with separation by AOV channels (Depth etc).
As a result, I want to get 1 EXR file with many channels inside it. And how do I set up which channels I want to bake into a file?
- Create a render product - You can search for an extension named AOV and enable it, it will allow you to create one through the right-click menu.
- Then with Movie Capture you can select that render product, and now if you capture it will output every AOV listed in the render product to its own exr.
We do not have a way to collate all of the separate exrs into ONE exr at this time. Our system renders each AOV out as a separate pass. There may be a 3rd party solution on the web to combine them after rendering.
how do I get a separate channel with shadows? I’m not talking about the " beauty" pass and swadow in one EXR. I want to get separate beauty and separate shadows. Is it possible?
These are all of our current AOV passes. We may not have a shadow pass directly. However, we are not really well aligned with this kind of VFX workflow. We are predominately a real-time simulation platform, and not an offline renderer.
Ok.
Tell me, please, how I can turn off the shadows in the light source?
What are you trying to achieve exactly? You want to have one layer for direct lighting and one just for shadows? What version of USD Composer are you using?
Unfortunately, I do not believe we have a shadow pass and a direct lighting pass without shadows, as you are requesting. I understand you are trying to separate lighting from shadow in post, but this is not something we have in our AOVs at this time. If they are not listed there, we do not have them. I am sorry.
Ok. I understand.
I’m sorry. May be I need create new topic.
I want manage shadow in scene, create some light emiter, but only 1 cast shadow.
You can select any light and use Link Linking to turn shadows and light on and off for individual lights and objects. That does not require any AOV work. Select any light and scroll down the properties panel to see the light linking options for light and shadow.
Ok. Thank you.
